CaravanStats User Guide
Getting Started
.aravanStats provide powerful analytics through embedded Power BI reports.
Here’s how to begin:
1. Access Your Dashboards: Navigate to the relevant section on left hand menu in CaravanStats and select your desired platform.
2. Wait for Loading: Allow the dashboard to fully load. You’ll see a loading indicator while data is being retrieved. Please note that it may take a little longer on first load.
3. Explore the Layout: Take a moment to identify key sections, charts and filter controls.
Tip: CaravanStats works best on desktop and laptops. The site is not accessible on mobile or tablet.
Dashboard Navigation
Many reports have multiple pages accessible via tabs at the top the screen. Simply click on each tab to switch between the platforms.
Using Slicers & Filters
Slicers are filter controls that let you narrow down the data displayed in your dashboard. They appear as dropdowns, lists, or date pickers.
Single Selection
1. Click to Select Click any item in a slicer to filter the data accordingly.
2. Clear Selection Click the eraser icon or “Clear selections” to remove filters.
Multiple Selections
1. Select Multiple Items
- Hold Ctrl and click items (Windows)
- Hold Cmd and click items (Mac)
- Use checkboxes if available
2. Select All Some slicers have a “Select All” option at the top for convenience.
Note: Not all slicers support multiple selections – this depends on the data configuration
Visual Interactions
Visual interactions allow you to click on charts and graphs to filter and explore your data in different ways.
Clicking elements in one visual (like bars in a chart) will automatically filter other visuals on the same page.
1. Click Data Points Click on bars, pie slices, or data points to filter related visuals.
2. Clear Filters Click on empty space or use Ctrl + Click on the selected item.
Tip: Hover over any data point to see detailed information in a tooltip popup.
Exporting Data
You can save charts, data, and entire reports from Power BI dashboards to use in presentations or external analysis.
Export Individual Visuals
1. Access Visual Menu Hover over any visual and click the three dots (…) in the top-right corner.
2. Choose Export Option
- Export data: Downloads underlying data as CSV or Excel
- Export as image: Saves the visual as PNG
- Export to PowerPoint: Creates a PowerPoint slide
Note: Export options may be limited based on your permissions and report configuration.
